Genaro Lara, Attorney at Law
Legal Experience:
I started my career in Chicago as an associate with Attorney Manuel Segarra, a fearless Puerto Rican attorney, as courageous as many Puerto Rican liberation fighters were in the 50’s and 60’s.
I have represented a wide variety of clients in state and federal courts in civil and criminal cases through jury trial, and have been licensed to practice in United States District Courts, federal courts of appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. In the late 1990’s I represented hundreds of cases while working for the San Diego Public Defender’s Office. In the area of real estate, I handled successfully a number of real estate cases involving deeds, and rights to real property. I have learned that the best strategy to pursue and implement is thorough preparation of all issues, such as a chess master. The resolution of legal issues on behalf of a client who is facing the loss of his or her liberty is of paramount importance, and deserves the care, dedication and thorough defense.
